Each Friday, we have our weekly Friday Meeting. Students get a Post-It note and have 4 options to pick from:
Kudos: Recognize someone who did something well Questions: A questions about the class, school, etc. Concerns: Write something that is worrying you Suggestions: IT can be for Mrs. Dunn, the classroom or the school Each week, I choose 2 leaders who have been super stellar. They run the meeting by reading each sticky. (If they can't read it, they trash it. Sneaky way of encouraging nice handwriting) After the stickies, they choose 5 students to share what our class goal should be. The class leaders write the ideas on the board and then the class participates in "Keep it or Junk It." The class leaders read the goal and students either vote to Keep It or Junk It. The class leader decide by majority to leave it on the board or "junk it" (erase it). They continue until it narrows down to one. Then, we have our goal for the week. So far, our goals have been: *Line up quietly the first time *Get good scores in specials *Line up quietly the first time (we had a good conversation why they felt like they needed to repeat this goal) Here are some pictures from our Friday meetings of our wonderful class leaders!

Meet Mrs. Dunn
This is my 5th year teaching. My husband and 2 girls live in Kuna with our dog, Scout. I enjoy running, cooking and quilting. Some of my other favorites are Coke Zero, apples with peanut butter and the author Kate DiCamillo! Archives
